Lena Myrtle Dohms of Vavenby, British Columbia passed away after a short illness on June 9, 2018 in Clearwater, BC at the age of 97. Lena was born in Horndean, Manitoba on April 21, 1921.
She is survived by sons Gordon (Melissa), Paul (Lee), Brad (Luella), Charles (Gerri) and grandchildren Joshua, Christy, Caleb, Bonnie, Stephanie, Joel, Daniel, Shekinah, Sarah, Glen, Rachel, and Jesse. Great grandchildren Emma, Axsher, Leena, Jakob, Seth, Lucy, Marlee and Cal. Lena was predeceased by her husband Carl Dohms, son Howard, sisters Verna and Nora, foster son Larry.
Lena was a graduate of Winnipeg Bible Institute. She led youth groups in Manitoba. Lena was in ministry with the Canadian Sunday School Mission in Manitoba. She taught Sunday School for many years. Lena attended the Clearwater Christian Church. Myrtle loved Jesus and delighted in sharing her faith with everyone.
Her home was open to everyone and meals were always available. She was known as grandma
and mom to many through the years.
