In Loving Memory ~

Kay Davis nee: Marsel passed into spirit on July 4th, 2024 just as she wished in her home, with her two surviving daughters, Sheila and Marcy, Rocky her beloved orange tabby cat, Tommy cat and Fluffy cat all present. Kay was born on November 4th 1931 in Olalla BC and spent her childhood there. She was a member of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band and was a proud Syilx woman.

Kay was a Clearwater Community member since the early 70's.

She was predeceased by her husband Wiggy (Glen) Davis. As a couple they were fondly known as Kay and Wiggy, legends of hunting and fishing and knowledge of traveling the backroads of the whole area surrounding Clearwater. Their wisdom of the best areas for hunting and fishing plus roads was highly sought after.

For a time Kay was a cook at the Wells Gray Hotel and then spent many years as a Custodian of the local schools. She loved to garden and raise chickens until she could no longer in 2020. In retirement she enjoyed Carpet Bowling, Crib and would attend the Meat Draw.

Kay is predeceased by her 5 son's Lenard, John, Raymond, Norman and Baby, her 2 husbands Len and Wiggy, mother and father Fraser and Annabelle Marsel, 1 brother Sonny and 1 sister Nancy, 3 half brothers and 4 half sisters.

Surviving Kay is her 9 grandkids, Moses, Luke, Melissa, Chris, Loreli, David, Kim, Len, Beth. 15 great grandkids Kris, Cody, Will, Brigette, Sheila Marie, Justin H, Jessica, Justin M-H, Amber, Cayman, Phoenix, Sade, Kyler, Keyanna, and Michael. 8 great great grandkids, Dessie, Kysen, Carson, Odin, Nyla, Atom, Jaxom and Sebastian.

She is survived by 5 siblings Rose, Nina, Wendy, Danny and Pete along with numerous nieces and nephews.

All are Welcome to pay respects and to honour the life and times of both Kay and Wiggy, their ashes have been mixed together in honour of our Mom's final wish.

There will be a Clearwater community service at the BC Royal Canadian Legion on August 7th, 2024 at 2:00 until 4:00 pm. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

On May 17th, 2025 there will be a private Family Ceremony where their ashes will be laid to rest at our Family Cemetery located on our ancestral Syilx territory.
