Joyce St. John
September 15, 1921 ~ April 28, 2007
On April 28, 2007, Joyce St. John (nee Hill) of Clearwater, B.C. passed away at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, following a lengthy illness.
She was 85 years of age.
Joyce is survived by her two sons: Barry and Bob Taylor; daughters in law: Sharon and Judy; grandchildren: Huff, Janet, Paris and Robert; great-grandchildren: James and Jenine; and life long friends: Chris Burgart and Lise Beausole.
She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Taylor who passed away in 1970.
A long-time resident of Clearwater, Joyce owned and operated the Old Caboose Restaurant for 35 years.
A community activist and business woman, she demanded excellence and commitment from all her employees.
A memorial service was held at the Old Caboose Restaurant May 6, 2007 with Lloyd Strickland, celebrant.
Internment followed May 8, 2007 in Queen's Park Cemetary, Calgary, AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce’s memory can be made to Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital.
