As most everyone knows, our family has suffered a great loss recently with the passing of Joey Whitford, our son, brother, uncle, friend and hero.
Although we have already held a service in Powell River, our family feels that one should also be held in Clearwater. Clearwater was second home for Joey and always had a special place in his heart. The support Joey has received from this community is remarkable. Everyone’s compassion and love did not go unnoticed, and for that we thank you!
A celebration of life will be held at The Legion on March 19th, 2011 at 11:00 AM. As per request of Joey, this will be somewhat of an informal gathering. People are encouraged to take some time and share a story or memory of Joey.
Again, in lieu of flowers, our family is requesting that donations be given to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honour of Joey Whitford. Also, please take the time to verify if you are still an organ donor at www.transplant.bc.ca or complete the registry if you wish to become a donor.
