Jessie Marion Price

July 25, 1929 – February 15, 2020
Jessie was born in East Blackpool, B.C. where she spent most of her childhood growing up on the farm.
She married John Bryant and they soon started their family and adventures working in logging camps throughout the B.C. Interior and a winter in northern Alberta, returning home to B.C. where she spent the rest of her life.
After the tragic loss of her husband John in 1955, she married Dave Price and they added another child to the family. They soon moved to the farm near Barriere where she lived until failing health required 24/7 care.
Jessie loved life, nurturing a variety of farm animals, especially new babies as they arrived in the spring. She took great pride in growing a big garden and a bountiful harvest. She also loved long days in the saddle helping neighbours drive cattle to the range in the spring and gathering them back up in the fall. She enjoyed dancing, 4 day pack trips on horseback in the Wells Gray Park, campfires with family and friends, fishing, canoeing, and camping trips exploring many parts of B.C. with her friends and family. Jessie also played a big role in the Chariot and Chuckwagon family for many years at the racetracks around B.C.
Her life experiences also included tree planting and Industrial first aid at Tolko plywood plant. She was a long time member of the NTFF, volunteer ambulance attendant, over 20 years volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society, and a volunteer at several Kamloops Cowboy Festivals.
Pre-deceased by parents Alex and Grace Miller, brother Tom Miller, husband John Bryant, husband Dave Price, daughter Marion Bryant, and son Jim Bryant.
Jessie is survived and lovingly remembered by her son Edwin Bryant, daughter Sharon Price, grandchildren Gary, Lynn, Sherryl, Carrie, Sara and Lyle. Eleven great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Jessie is fondly remembered by her many friends for her big smile, caring heart and always being happily ready to serve coffee and set a few more plates at the table. She was always willing to help anyone at anytime of need.
We love you Mom, Grandma. Thank you for being such an amazing example of courage, strength, independence, integrity and love. You live in our hearts forever.
