Jean Ritchie Livingstone

October 20, 2002

Jean Ritchie Livingstone (nee McDougall)

1926 - 2002.

Jean Ritchie Livingstone of Little Fort, B.C., passed away Oct. 20, 2002.

She is survived by Jack, her husband of 48 years, and her children: Sheilagh (Peter White), Bruce, Murray (Jo-Anne), Chris (Doug) Thornton and Donald (Shanna). Jean is also survived by her sister, Helen Ramsay, and five grandchildren, Bryanna, Graham and Kendra White, as well as Kiernan and Evan Livingstone.

Born and raised in the Kelowna area, Jean began teaching in the North Thompson Valley in 1950.

Soon after, she married Jack and together they raised five children on the family farm at Little Fort.

She shared her love for dance, art, pottery and gardening with all those who met her.

We will miss her sense of humour, her intellect, her selfless generosity and her love of family time.

Special thanks to Dr. Clare and to the Home Support team, especially Sheila Anderson, for her compassionate care.

An open house was held on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at the Livingstone residence in Little Fort.

In memory of Jean, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
