James Gilbert “Gil”
GENIER
Gil Genier passed away at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital in Clearwater, B.C. on February 23, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Gil was born in Kamloops, B.C. on Feb. 6, 1939. He is survived by his wife Shirley, sister Rozanne (Clifford) Shannon, niece Diane (Michael) Butcher and their children Chad, Brock and Quinn, and nephew David (Mary) Shannon and daughter Rianna. He was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Winnifred Genier.
Gil was a long time resident of the North Thompson Valley. He graduated from the Nanaimo Technical School as a heavyduty mechanic.
A Funeral Service for James Gilbert Genier took place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Clearwater Baptist Church, Clearwater, B.C. Lloyd Strickland, Minister, officiated. Interment followed at Riverview Cemetery, Clearwater.
