Ileene Mallach was born on March 10, 1924 in Silver Creek, Manitoba and passed away at Forest View Place, Clearwater, BC, on August 14, 2008. She was 84 years of age. Ileene is survived by her daughter Carol (John) Hull, son Dale (Debby) Dana, grandchildren Darcey and Trish Cutler, Andy and Kathy Dana and Stephen and Shannon Dana, great grandchildren Gemma Cutler, Russell, Willie and Maggie Dana, Cody and Jesse Dana, and by her sisters Grace Dana and Eleanor Krause.

Ileene was a wonderful cook and she loved to cook for family and friends. Her Cinnamon Buns always got Rave Reviews. Ileene had been an avid curler and played many a bonspiel in the Clearwater Curling Rink. She was the first cook when they built the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital in 1973.

Ileene passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She will be sadly missed by friends and family. Her family wishes to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Forest View Place for their loving care over the last few years. Thank You also to the Clearwater Hospice Society.

A Celebration of Ileene Mallach’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2008 in the chapel at North Thompson Funeral Services, 73 Taren Drive, Clearwater, BC, telephone 250-674-3030.
