Gordon Wilfred Bennett
Born January 12, 1916 passed away April 1, 2003.
Gordon is survived by his loving daughter Christina Rottacker and friend Dan Summers, granddaughter Patricia (Kevin) Tinker, great-grandchildren Charlene and Travis, sisters Edna Gray and Inez Elliot and numerous nieces and nephews, all of Clearwater, B.C.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marge Bennett, on May 28, 2000.
Gordon was born in Parkhill, Ontario. The family lived in Alberta before moving to Clearwater in 1932. He was a veteran of WW II and upon returning home he worked for Clearwater Timber Products for 35 years. Gordon married Marge Elliot on May 8, 1947, and their daughter Christina was born in 1948.
The family lived in Sunshine Valley until they moved to Evergreen Acres Seniors Home in 1989, where he had many friends.
The memorial service was held on Friday, April 11, 2003 at 1 p.m. in Evangelical Church in Clearwater.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital in Gordon’s name.
