Gisela “Mickey” Dauer
April 17, 1931 ~ June 7, 2007
Gisela (Mickey) Dauer passed away peacefully at her residence in Forest View Place, Clearwater, BC. She was 76 years of age. Born in Germany, Mickey is survived by her son Herb Meltzer (Kay) of Redwing Minnesota.
She was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1999.
Mickey lived in Avola for several years after Harry had stroke. She was known for her singing, and “Mickey and the Michelles” travelled throughout B.C and Alberta performing their music. Mickey also made and sold her own jewellery. She enjoyed doing crafts and sewing, Mickey was an avid bingo player and will be missed by all her friends.
A Memorial Service to honour the life of Gisela Dauer will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2007 in the banquet room at Wells Gray Inn, Clearwater BC. Donations to Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital in memory of Gisela Dauer would be appreciated.
