Gail Faessler passed away peacefully on March 24, 2006 at her home in Clearwater, BC. She was 61 years of age.
Gail leaves to mourn her sons Hudley Faessler of Blue River, BC and Carl (Kristin) Faessler of Hefley Creek BC, daughter Chrissy Faessler of Heffley Creek, grandchildren David and Nicholas, her brother Doug (Marie) Scott of Kamloops BC, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Gail was predeceased by her son, Darcy and her sister, Carol Millis.
Gail was born in Kamloops BC. She worked as a secretary for the school board in Barriere for many years, and then as an assistant to the librarian in the Barriere Elementary School. After moving to Clearwater, Gail worked in the bakery at Safety Mart from 1999 until 2003.
Gail enjoyed fishing, walking in the woods, knitting, camping and dancing. She was very caring and loved children. She was like a second Mom to many kids at the school in Barriere, and she’d help out whenever she could. Most of all, she loved her children, Darcy, Hudley, Carl and Chrissy, and the apples of her eye, her grandchildren David and Nicholas.
Following cremation, a Celebration of Life gathering was held for Gail on Saturday, April 1, 2006 in the banquet room at Wells Gray Inn, Clearwater, BC. In Gail’s memory, people may wish to make donations to the Cancer Society.
