Frances Gerspacher passed away suddenly in Clearwater BC on March 12, 2006 at the age of 82. Born in Bohmzwiesel Germany, she leaves to mourn her loving family including her children, Susanne (Gary) Hall of Clearwater BC, Bernard (Mel) Gerspacher of Valemount BC, Carl Gerspacher of Pickering ON, and Rosalind “Rose” Gerspacher of Port Alberni BC, four grandchildren, Eleanor, Kevin, Brandi and Mackenzie, six great grandchildren, Emma, Parker, Kiana, Nicole, Braxton and Cayle, her brothers Reinholdt and Hans in Germany, plus numerous nieces and nephews in Germany.
Frances was a hard worker who held jobs as a cleaner to enable her to raise her four children. She loved her family and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren in her later years. Frances would talk with anyone, and always found nice things to say about everyone she met. She was a very compassionate woman. She loved to write and send letters, as well as receive them. She enjoyed making cards, and tending her flowers and her garden. Her favourite flowers were brightly coloured roses. Her family will miss her very much, and remember the example she set for them.
A Funeral Mass was held for Franziska on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. James, Clearwater, BC. Father N.J. Forde O.M.I. officiated. Following interment at Clearwater Riverview Cemetery, family and friends gathered back at the church to share memories of Frances.
