Frances LYZUN

February 26, 2007

In loving memory of Frances Lyzun

August 5, 1917- February 26, 2007

Frances Lyzun (nee Andrusiak) was born in the farming community of Endeavour, Saskatchewan; she was a middle child in a family of nine.

Frances married Paul Lyzun when she was 19 and had one child, Helen.

After farming for 21 years, Paul and Frances moved to Alberta, living in Jasper, Hinton and then Whitecourt.

After retiring, they moved to Summerland, BC, where mom could fulfill her dream of having fruit trees in her back yard. After a short illness, dad passed away in 1998.

Losing her spouse was hard on mom, triggering the onset of Alzheimer’s. After placement in Summerland for one and a half years, we were lucky enough to have her in Forest View Place, Clearwater B.C., since June of 2006.

Mom’s priority was her family, to whom she was very generous. Her passion was her garden and her fruit canning. Being Roman Catholic, her church was very important to her.

Frances is survived by her daughter Helen (Myron) Smith of Clearwater; grandchildren Ava (Clive) Perraton, Carla Wilson, Gary (Arlene) Firomski, Evan (Joannie) Smith, Wendy Hodgson; great grandchildren Morgan, Amber, Lucas, Burke, Kendra, Cooper, Nicole, Amanda, Chelsey; and great great grandchild, Griffin.

A graveside service for Frances Lyzun was held at Canyon View Cemetery in Summerland, B.C. on Friday, March 2, 2007 with Father Sebastian Puthenpura officiating.

Mom was buried beside dad in their adjoining plot.

Mom, we loved you and may you finally have the peace that eluded you for the past few years. Funeral arrangements entrusted to North Thompson Funeral Services, 73 Taren Drive, Box 2404 RR2, Clearwater, BC, V0E 1N0, Ph. 674-3030.
