Flora Georgina Anderson

Mrs. Flora Georgina Anderson (nee Massie) was called home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005 at the age of 87 years, after a brief illness.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Bruce (Lori) of Cowley, Alberta and Bryon (Sheila) of Little Fort, B.C.; five grandchildren: Robert (Elizabeth), Michael (Blanca), Jesse (Colleen), Peter and Kathryn; one great-granddaughter, Marin; one brother, William (Frances) Massie of Granum, Alberta; two sisters: Margaret Steel of Calgary, Alberta, and Hazel McIntosh of Brantford, Ontario, and many extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband, Vair Anderson, in 1993 and one sister, Nellie Sarchet, in 1995.

Flora was born in Dec. 22, 1917, the daughter of Peter and Emma Massie. Her parents were pioneers near southwest Calgary, where later she married and raised her family. In her retirement years she lived in Clearwater, B.C., Little Fort, B.C. and Salmon Arm, B.C.

She will be fondly remembered by her family and many friends for her abiding faith and love, constancy in friendship and prayerful concern for others.

The funeral service was held at First Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Myron Crown officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Ida Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Flora to the charity of their choice.
