Ed was born in Stony Plain Alberta in 1927 and was raised on the family farm. At age 10 Ed met his lifelong love Ruth, and in 1949 they were married. They enjoyed a happy and loving marriage for over 50 years.
Ed worked on the family farm in Stony Plain as well as his saw mill in the foothills of Alberta, before retiring in 1987. Ed continued to live on the farm until his health started to fail and he moved to Whitecliff care home to be closer to family.
Ed enjoyed time at Lake Isle waterskiing, raising his children, animals and trees on the farm, and time spent with family and friends. Ed will be remembered for his faith and love of the Lord, generosity and commitment to family and friends, and his never ending sweet tooth.
Ed will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the Whitecliff care home staff for the amazing care they gave Ed in the later years of his life. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made on behalf of Ed Miller to the St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
