Doris Mae Catterall
1926 - 2017
Doris Mae Catterall of Clearwater died peacefully, August 30, 2017 at the age of 91, with her family at her side. Doris was born in Vanderhoof, British Columbia on July 29, 1926. She is survived by daughter Cheryl Marshall, grandchildren Jesse Marshall, Jim Krawece, Amber Powell, great grandchildren Seersha and Aiden Marshall.
Doris was predeceased by her husband James (Jim) Catterall, her mother and father and six brothers. She also was predeceased by two grandchildren Micheal Krawece and Cody Marshall.
Doris had a grade six education and had to stop school to work on the family cattle farm. She became the first woman in Kelowna, BC to take apart and rebuild starters and alternators for the automotive industry. Doris worked non - stop while raising three children.
Doris enjoyed walking, puzzles and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed visits from grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be no formal service for Doris. Private family arrangements have been made.
