On Tuesday Jan. 7, 2006, Mrs. Doris Irene Traill of Clearwater, B.C. peacefully passed away at the age of 87 years.
Doris Irene Traill (Farr) was born in Michigan USA on Oct 4, 1918 and moved to Ontario shortly after. She grew up on a farm in Welland-Niagara Falls with four sisters and two brothers. At age 21 Doris married for the first time and had two sons. On Dec. 16, 1945 she married her life companion George Traill and moved to B.C. where they had two daughters.
Doris was known for her love of fishing, Hollywood gossip magazines, candy and warm beer. She will be missed by all who knew her. Doris is predeceased by her husband George (June 6, 1994) and her son-in-law Philip (July 21, 2002).
She is survived by two daughters Sandra (Philip) Van Mol of Kamloops and Georgena Traill of Vernon; two sons Kenneth Wilson and Michael Cooney of Ontario; nine grandchildren, Lynette (Gord) Bryan, Aleiya (Christian) Gillis, Melanie Van Mol, Isis (Chris) Yonkers, Travis Van Mol, Cherie (Paul) Barwinski, Sean (Theresa) Wilson, David (Patti) Cooney, Christopher (Lori) Cooney, Michelle (Anthony) Boccia and 14 great grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service was held on Feb. 10, 2006 at Hillside Cemetery in Kamloops, B.C. Service arrangements were entrusted to Schoening Funeral Service.
