Della Weatherbee
October 27, 1933 – June 2, 2009
Della Pearl Weatherbee (nee Halliday) born October 27, 1933 in Aulac,Westmorland Co., New Brunswick. Predeceased by her husband Lionel "Bubby" Weatherbee and her brother David Halliday of Nova Scotia.
Della is survived by her brother Andrew (Betty) Halliday of Ontario,and sisters Lottie Lloy of Nova Scotia and Una Burman of Kamloops BC; her children Opal (Gord) Nelson, Larry (Leslie) Weatherbee, Richard (Charlene) Weatherbee, Carl Weatherbee and Allen (Jeannie) Weatherbee; her grandchildren Jeff (Dana) Canning, Mark (Melinda) Canning, Lucas (Tammie) Weatherbee, Christopher ( Nicole) Weatherbee,Jocelyn Weatherbee, Robert Weatherbee, Charity, Charese and Calab Weatherbee and Micheal Weatherbee; and her great-grandchildren Kalandra, Amanda, Kayla, Brandyn and Amanda. She also had a special relationship with her nieces Cindy (Gary) Shook and Rosemary (John) Marlow.
Della and Bubby moved to Clearwater BC from Collingwood NS in 1970. Clearwater became their home where they raised their children and made many wonderful friends. In 2004 she moved to Chilliwack to live with her daughter Opal and her favorite son-in-law Gord.
A Graveside Service for Della Weatherbee was held on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Riverview Cemetery. Immediately following the interment, friends and family gathered for a Memorial Service at the Elks’ Hall, Clearwater, BC.
