May 30, 1954 - September 9, 2020
It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Dale Phillip Miller (age 66) on September 9th, 2020. He has went to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Born May 30, 1954 in the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta; Dale grew up in Stoney Plain, Alberta and was the third oldest of five children. Dale was raised working and playing on the family farm, which he loved, with his three brothers and sister.
In 1973 Dale left the farm to take work in Clearwater with Joe Wadlegger and was followed soon after by his brothers to the Clearwater Valley. Dale, along with his brother Kim and a third partner Jock, founded a logging company which, over the decades, would provide for immediate family and many beloved employees and their families.
Dale was a loving husband, father and grandfather who set a strong example in his faith. He had a strong work ethic and was a hard worker. He adored his grandchildren, always ready to share a big hug and a bag of oranges.
Dale was thoughtful, honest, dedicated, loving, kind, personable, faithful, compassionate, community minded, generous, big hearted, easy going, yet stubborn, and family oriented. He was lovingly dedicated to his family and children and would go out of his way to help anyone in need.
Dale did not believe in retirement, rather, enjoyed his work and working with his family.
Dale is survived by his father, Edward Miller, his wife Jacquie, his brothers Kim (Mitch) Miller and Dwight Miller, and his children and grandchildren: Kyler (Sylvia), their daughters, Sarah, Laura, Christina, Rebekah & Hannah Miller; Garick (Rachelle) Radmacher, Derek (Chelsea) Miller, Janel(Grant) and their son Jase Harrison, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
Dale is predeceased by his mother, Ruth, brother, Brian, and sister Linda.
He will forever be in our hearts and greatly missed.
A gathering of immediate family occurred September 19th, 2020.
