COLIN BILLY GRUMMETT

(GRUMPY)

APRIL 20, 1955 - JULY 24, 2005

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Colin while on a bike trip on the Sunshine Coast.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years Kathy and their three sons Dusty, Lindsay and Nicky. Colin is also survived by his mother, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

Colin was always in the forest industry and spent the last 25 years driving log truck in the North Thompson Valley both as a driver and an owner operator.

He was a father who was devoted to his boy’s sports. It was common for Colin to drive all day at work then rush home so he could get in his pick-up and drive another few hours to supports his sons while they played hockey or softball. Colin was very proud of his son’s accomplishments.

Colin’s other love was his Harley. He and Kathy went on many bike trips. He also made trips with his friends one of them was to Sturgis for the world famous Sturgis Rally. Colin was on a bike trip at the time of his passing on the Sunshine Coast with friends and his son Dusty. Doing what he loved to do.

A service to celebrate Colin’s life will be held on August 6, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the North Thompson Fall Fair Hall in Barriere. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Colin to Clearwater Minor Hockey or the Food Bank of your choice would be appreciated.
