Clarence Melnychuk was born in Bjorkdale, SK on December 26, 1938. He passed away peacefully on September 10, 2006 at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital, Clearwater BC, after a long battle with cancer. Clarence will be lovingly remembered by Hilda, his loving wife and partner for over 30 years; his mother Gertrude of Bjorkdale SK; brothers Lloyd (Margaret) of Quesnel BC and Albert (Julie) of Fort Langley BC; sisters Deanna Halverson of Florida, Shirley (John) McCormick of Bjorkdale SK, Donna (Frank) Teunissen of Tennessee, Doris (Fred) Connell of New Brunswick and Cindy (Shane) Beach of Alberta. Clarence was predeceased by his father Mike and infant sister Nellie.
Clarence was a logger most of his life. He loved working with horses, rodeos, and all animals. He loved camping, making friends with everyone. He liked dancing and all kinds of music. A Graveside Service will be held for Clarence at Riverview Cemetery, Clearwater BC, on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Lloyd Strickland officiating. The family would appreciate donations in Clarence’s name to Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital, Clearwater BC.
