Christopher Tromp

Nov. 29, 1973 — Sept. 23, 2005

On Sept. 23, 2005 devoted father, husband and friend Christopher Hans Joseph Tromp passed away suddenly.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Laurine, daughters Krista and Haley, mother Marilyn (Mike) stepdad Larry, father Peter, stepmother Cindy; brothers Trevor (Joy), Peter (Bev); sisters Courtney, Sarah, Shannon and his nephew Warner. Chris was cherished by Laurine’s family and was especially close to Laurine’s grandfather Phil, her brother Wes (Michelle) and mother Shirley, her husband Larry, Grandpa Dirk and Uncle George.

Chris was born in St. Catherine’s, Ontario, where he lived until the age of 11 when he moved to Drayton Valley, Alberta. He settled in Clearwater, B.C., where he found employment as a buckerman with Collison Logging. As with all things, he was passionate about his work and held close personal ties with his co-workers and his boss. He looked forward to every day and always had his smile ready for his crew when getting picked up each morning. He met the love of his life, Laurine, shortly after arriving in Clearwater. They started their family with two daughters Krista and Haley. He was loyal and passionate in all endeavors but especially with his family and was very devoted to “his girls.” They were the love of his life. Weekends out for breakfast were the norm. Chris had many hobbies and pastimes. Among his favorites were golf, fishing trips and (the topmost) cheering for his beloved Canucks from behind his bar — and the Tisdale football pool. Chris will be greatly missed and will always hold a special smile from all who met him. His optimism was contagious.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for “his girls” at any Royal Bank.

Once more for Chris — “Go Canucks”!!!
