Charlene Johnson passed away peacefully December 11, 2010 at age 68 at Forest View Place in Clearwater, BC where she lived for the past two years. Charlene Roberta Matlock, born July 2, 1942 in Turner Valley, AB was the oldest of 8 children born to Bob and Helen Matlock (Fugle). She was predeceased by her parents Bob and Helen, brother Bruce Matlock and husband Leslie David Whiting in 1991. Charlene is deeply missed by her husband Darwin Johnson of Little Fort BC, daughter Debbie Yandeau (Dwayne) of High Prairie AB, daughter Helen Dyck (Del) of Peace River AB, son Les Whiting (Teresina) of Coquitlam BC, son Rick Littman of Edmonton AB, son Rob Whiting (Cheryl) of Leduc AB, grandchildren Carl, Christine, Corrine, Elan, Kirsty, Kyle, Laura Lee, Pamela, great-grandchildren, Axtyn, Brendyn, Donavon, Justin, Keenyn, Keyanah, MyKayla, sisters Cindy, Hazel, Joanne, Sue 'Ellen, brothers, Jamie and Tim as well as her many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Charlene was loved by all who knew her and always went out of her way to help others first. She had a great love of both nature and the animals in it. She enjoyed music, loved to dance and travel the world. She spent twenty years of her life living overseas in numerous countries in Europe and Asia. Most of all she loved her family and she will be greatly missed.
