Arthur Oxenham

Arthur John Oxenham: A long time resident of Birch Island, B.C., passed away April 26, 2004, age 80.

Born May 7, 1923, in B.C., he was married over 56 years and predeceased by his wife Sigrid, and his eldest son Charles. Surviving are two sons, Raymond and Glen of Birch Island, B.C.; daughters Lynne of Wildwood, Alberta, and Denise of Collensville Australia.

He is also survived by three granddaughters Cassa Tandridge, Joanne (Randy) Duff of Ontario and Carmen (Ronnie) Bresky of Manitoba; six great-grandchildren, Sydney, Taylor and Jesse Duff; Tia, Arthur and Steven Bresky.

Arthur served with the Canadian Army overseas in W.W.II, was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion and a life member of the War Amputations of Canada.

As requested, cremation and no service. His ashes will be laid to rest in Birch Island. In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to War Amps. He will be missed by many other relatives and many great friends. He always had a good word and positive attitude all his life and spread it wherever he tread.
