It is with shock and great sadness that we announce the death of Allen Jesse Nelson of Boyle, Alberta. Allen was born February 26, 1961 in Beaverlodge, AB.
Welcomed at age five into the Nelson family he grew up in the North Thompson Valley where his love of nature was well met and his outdoor skills finely honed. Allen left us suddenly on May 5, 2014 and will be greatly missed by his wife Sherry, daughters Naomi and Breanna Nelson of Boyle, AB and Jessica Dube of Kamloops, his mother Jean Nelson of Clearwater and sister Nadeane (Reed) of Duncan, B.C. Also mourning are many relatives and friends including nephews Kyle Nelson, Leif Early and niece Brie Nelson.
Allen spent most of his working life as a heavy duty machine operator in northern Alberta, his recreation time was hunting, fishing, quading and playing his guitar. In his younger life he hiked, biked and skied the mountains around Blue River and was always happy when out in the woods.
His remains will be cremated and lovingly scattered on Mt. Cook where his ashes will join those of his father, Don and brother, Nels. A memorial service will be held in Boyle.
