Adelina was born in Scout Lake, Saskatchewan to a family of 15 children. Her family moved to the Slocan Valley in British Columbia in a covered wagon in 1932. On August 16, 1941 Adelina married Charles Ludtke and moved to the Upper Clearwater Valley, where she lived on the family farm until they retired and moved to Clearwater in 1972.

For the past year they have lived happily in Evergreen Acres, until Adelina passed away at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital on July 12, 2004.

She is survived by her husband Charles of 63 years, her daughters; Dorothy (Jack) Dyck of Snow Lake, MB, Carol (Kurt) Bentrott of Kamloops, Hazel (Joe) Wadlegger of Clearwater and son Robert of Kamloops. She is also survived by her brother Frank of England and sister Clara in Grand Forks, 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many good friends in the Clearwater area.

A Graveside Service was held on Thursday, July 15, 2004 in the Clearwater Cemetery at 11 a.m. Following the graveside service family and friends were invited for a reception in the common room at Evergreen Acres.
