NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

When? Thursday, September 7th, 2023 at 1:30 PM

The Board of Directors of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District gives notice that it will hold a Public Hearing in the TNRD Boardroom, 4th Floor - 465 Victoria Street, Kamloops, BC, to consider proposed Bylaw No. 2821, 2023.

What is Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2821, 2023?

Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2821 will rezone two properties in Blue River, BC, shown as “A” and “B” on the adjacent map, as follows:

A) 5914 Angus Horne Street from C-1: Retail Commercial to R-1: Residential Single and Duplex zone to legalize an existing residential use; and

B) 857 Spruce Street by adding a site-specific amendment to the R-1: Residential Single and Duplex to allow horticultural use with up to 200 square metres (2,153 sq ft) of accessory buildings and a small produce stand, but exclude livestock and processing of raw materials.

All persons who believe that their interest in property may be affected by the proposed Bylaw shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard at the Public Hearing. Additionally, they may make written submissions on the matter of Bylaw 2821, 2023 (via the options below) which must be received at our office prior to 12:00 p.m. on September 5, 2023. The entire content of all submissions will be made public and form a part of the public record for this matter.

A copy of proposed Bylaw Amendment 2821, 2023 and all supporting information can be inspected from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday (except statutory holidays) at our office, from August 18th, 2023 until 1:30 p.m. the day of the Hearing; or please contact us via any of the options below.
