NOTICE OF SURPLUS TAX SALE PROCEEDS
TAKE NOTICE that the District of Clearwater advises that it is holding surplus money received from the 2021 tax sale on the property, civically described as 148 Capostinsky Road, and:
(a) The surplus is payable to the former owner of said property, Kenneth John Foss;
(b) The surplus became payable September 27, 2022; and
(c) The amount of the surplus is $1,988.33
Anyone having any claims on such surplus may apply in writing to District of Clearwater Council, PO Box 157, Clearwater, BC V0E 1N0 PRIOR to July 27, 2023 to claim such surplus.
If a claim is made by a person other than the former property owner, the funds will be forwarded to Supreme Court awaiting an application to be made under s. 659(4) of the Local Government Act. If no claims are received, the funds will be transferred to the administrator under the Unclaimed Property Act.
