100 Mile House RCMP recently reported they had 70 calls for service between Dec. 5 and 12. One of those incidents was when the police were called to a report of a vehicle collision on Highway 24 near Lac Des Roche.

Members attended and found a vehicle over an embankment with no one around.

The vehicle was found to be stolen from Little Fort earlier that day.

After receiving information from the public the male driver of the vehicle was located at a residence nearby.

The male was arrested for possession of stolen property and found to be in contravention of several probation conditions relating to other property offences in the McBride area.

The 25-year-old male resident of Clinton was held in custody and was scheduled to appear in court in Williams Lake on Dec. 14.

Charges of possession of stolen property, possession of break-in instruments, and several counts of breach of probation conditions were proposed.
