TNRD board to send out letters

TNRD board of directors agreed to send a letter to the Minister of Environment that waste generated in B.C. should be disposed of in B.C.

The TNRD board of directors meeting of Nov. 24, agreed to send a letter to the Minister of Environment expressing the view that waste that is generated in B.C. should be disposed of or dealt with in B.C. and that exportation of waste to the United States results in lost jobs and revenue.

A letter will be sent to CN Rail requesting that they participate in a coordinated weed management approach to control noxious weeds on their rail lines and rights of way.

A letter will be forwarded to TELUS and Terry Lake, MLA, Kamloops-North Thompson requesting that the Barriere Lakes Area be considered as a location for inclusion in the TELUS-Province of B.C. "Connecting B.C. Program".
