6:40 p.m. update: The men have been found according to Valencia Bobb.

Original story: Friends and family are worried after three young men didn’t return from a hunting trip near Ashcroft on Saturday night.

The mother of one of the men says that two of them aren’t experienced hunters and that it’s not like them to not call home if they were going to be delayed.

Valencia Bobb, the mom of Jonas Bobb-Jollimore, says the trio went up a forest service road north of Ashcroft.

“The last time they went up that way they went off of a forest service road about 10 kilometres outside of Ashcroft, towards Cache Creek,” said Bobb.

“They left yesterday morning at 10 a.m. and they were supposed to be home last night.”

Two of the men have wives and babies at home, Bobb noted, so they usually keep in contact.

“If they were going to spend the night, they would have told them,” she said.

“They haven’t come home, nobody’s heard from them, they’re not answering their cellphones. We’re kind of worried that they may have broken down somewhere or got lost.”

The trio are in a white older model Chevy S10 truck with a canopy on the back. The truck is loud, Bobb said, and can be heard from far away.

Jonas Bobb-Jollimore is described as a five-foot-seven lighter-skinned First Nations man. He’s 22, has dark brown hair and is believed to be wearing a camouflage jacket.

Cameron Grant is described as a medium height 29-year-old medium skinned First Nations man with “really thick, fuzzy dark brown hair, kind of like an afro.”

Tyson Jack is described as a tall, dark-skinned First Nations. He’s 20 years old and has a slim build.

Bobb said that the families have been in contact with the RCMP, who have been searching the area.

Anyone with any information should call the Ashcroft RCMP.
