The Murtle River thunders into the ice-cone at the bottom of Helmcken Falls in this photograph taken in late February.

Several ice-climbers had succeeded in climbing the overhang just to the left of the falls a few days earlier.

According to Wikipedia, at 141 m (463 feet), it is the fourth highest waterfall in Canada, as measured by total straight drop without a break.
