Update: An earlier snowfall warning for the Clearwater area was ended by Environment Canada at 10:38 a.m.

The forecast for the area calls for rain tonight (Feb. 17) through to Saturday.

Earlier: A snowfall warning is in effect for the North Thompson region.

Snowfall amounts of up to 15 to 25 cm could fall in Clearwater this morning (Feb. 17).

“A frontal system is bringing heavy snow to the North Thompson region this morning,” Environment Canada warns. “Heavy snow is expected to continue for the next couple hours…(and) will end later this morning.”

Those travelling are urged to be prepared to adjust their driving to the conditions as rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.

Updates can be found through Environment Canada.
