During a meeting held Oct. 27, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District board voted to maintain the status quo when it comes to display of civic addresses in the regional district. This means that the TNRD will continue to encourage, but not require, sign posting.
The regional district also will direct staff to actively promote address posting through a communication campaign.
The board agreed to consider a bylaw amendment to require civic address posting as part of the occupancy permit process for new construction.
