SD73 in line for extra transportation funding

The Kamloops-Thompson school district will receive $666,817 from the provincial government to improve its transportation services.

The money comes from a new $14.7-million school transportation fund which will continue to provide money in future years.

The money can be used for a variety of purposes including adding or changing bus routes, improving access to local transit, providing accessible transportation for students with disabilities, reduce ride times and relocate bus stops and improve bus supervision.
