Thompson-Nicola Regional District had 34 employees making over $75,000 per year in 2015

Thompson-Nicola Regional District had 34 employees making over $75,000 per year in 2015, according to the TNRD's schedule of remuneration.

Receiving the most pay was chief administrative officer Sukh Gill, who brought in $220,000 in salary plus another $16,000 in expenses.

Regina Sadilkova, the director of development services, was paid $139,000 in remuneration plus $8,000 in expenses.

Director of finance Doug Rae was paid $137,000 in salary plus was compensated $4,000 for expenses.

In fourth spot was director of libraries Marc Saunders with $135,000 in remuneration and $4,000 in expenses.

Well down the list for employees was Sherri Madden, services coordinator for Area A and Area B. Her remuneration was $83,000 plus she received $6,000 for her expenses.

Total remuneration paid to TNRD employees in 2015 was $8 million, plus another $193,000 in expenses.

Board chair John Ranta of Cache Creek topped the list among elected officials, receiving $33,000 in remuneration plus $6,000 in expenses.

He was followed by vice-chair Willow MacDonald, the director for Thompson Headwaters (Area B). She was paid $30,500 in remuneration plus almost $20,000 in expenses.

Other elected officials from the North Thompson included Area A (Wells Gray Country) director Carol Schaffer, who received $26,000 in remuneration and $9,000 for expenses.

Area O (Lower North Thompson) director Bill Kershaw's remuneration was $24,000 while his expenses were $7,000.

Mayor John Harwood was paid $16,000 to represent District of Clearwater on the TNRD board. He also was compensated $4,000 for expenses.

 

Mayor Virginia Smith of Barriere was paid $14,000 for her role at the regional district plus got $2,000 for expenses.
