Threats with knife

Clearwater RCMP were called to a residence the other day when it was reported that a male threatened another male with a knife is his hand. This is obviously not a good idea.

RCMP members arrived on scene and defused the situation before the threats became actions.

A few days after that, the RCMP responded to another call of threats involving a knife. Once again, police officers calmed the situation.

In both cases, the person issuing the threats was not charged, as per request of the complainant.

Suspicious vehicle

Clearwater RCMP recently discovered an abandoned vehicle nestled in some trees next to Yellowhead Highway 5, halfway between Little Fort and Clearwater.

Whoever placed the vehicle there had removed the license plates, removed the VIN numbers and wiped the car clean of any prints.

The vehicle was towed back into town to allow for further investigation.

It was discovered that the vehicle had been stolen from Vancouver the week prior. The investigation is still ongoing.

Looking for a job?

Clearwater RCMP are always looking for new guards/matrons. If you find yourself having too much spare time, stop by the office and ask about becoming a guard.

Applicants will have to undergo a short interview and complete a security package. Once accepted, there is a small amount of on-the-job training to be done.

It goes without saying, crime doesn’t only happen between 9-5 and so applicants must be prepared to get phone calls at all hours of the day and night to come in and guard.
