Clearwater RCMP report that on Saturday, Feb. 25 at midnight, police received a request to assist Emergency Health Services (EHS) for a 39-year-old male Clearwater resident with a firearm injury.
It was soon realized the male had sustained a non-life threatening injury to his arm consistent to being shot while on a backroad north of Clearwater.
The male was transported to hospital in Kamloops and has since been released.
Clearwater RCMP are currently investigating the incident. Police say it was an isolated incident and the public is not at risk.
