Cables stabilize a car balanced on a rock above the North Thompson River

Cables from a local logging truck plus Lane’s Towing stabilize a car balanced on a rock above the North Thompson River near McMurphy early Tuesday morning, Feb. 7.

Volunteers from Clearwater and District Highway Rescue were able to extricate two men from the vehicle after it was stabilized.

The men were transported by BC Ambulance to hospital with unknown injures. RCMP and Argo were also on the scene.

McMurphy is located between Vavenby and Avola along Highway 5.
