Healthcare worker Barbara Nederpel has been named the New Democratic candidate for Kamloops-North Thompson, challenging for the seat presently held by MLA Terry Lake of the BC Liberals. Nederpel is vice-president of the Hospital Employees Union and president of the Kamloops and District Labour Council.
