UPDATE: Highway 5 reopens after multi-vehicle collision between Clearwater and Barriere

Highway 5 has fully reopened.

Original story:

A multi-vehicle collision has closed Highway 5 between Little Fort and Barriere Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 30.

DriveBC is reporting the incident is between Boulder Mountain Road and Bowden Road for 4.1 km (12 km north of Barriere to 11 km south of Little Fort).

The highway is closed in both directions as of 2:45 p.m.

The southbound lane of Highway 5 was closed earlier in the day south of Barriere due to a motor vehicle incident, but had been cleared.

DriveBC noted there was limited visibility with snow on Highway 5 in the area, which received snow.
