Clearwater's own Lisalee Campbell will sing O'Canada to open a ceremony held to name the members of British Columbia's new executive council on Friday at the Vancouver Convention Center.

Campbell sang for Premier Christy Clark when she visited Clearwater last November.

Apparently she made an impression. A member of the premier's staff recently phoned the young singer's parents and asked if she could perform during Friday's naming ceremony. The family plans to drive to the Coast on Thursday. Erica's Emporium in Clearwater s providing a dress for Lisalee to wear for the event.

The actual swearing-in of the new cabinet will take place on Monday at Government House in Victoria.

Lisalee and the other members of the Campbell family intend to sing for patients at Vancouver General Hospital while on the Coast.

They also plan to perform for patients at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital in Clearwater after their return.
