The Kamloops Voters Society is seeking the public’s input on expenditures that have been a topic of conversation with regard to the Thompson-Nicola Regional District over the last year.

The group has published a survey on their website to garner feedback about the TNRD’s spending transparency and oversight.

Controversy sparked when long-time chief administrative officer Sukh Gill was suddenly relieved of his duties. It was initially unclear as to why he stepped down. Reporting by Kamloops This Week into the issue led to policy changes, as well as a formal investigation and forensic audit.

The survey is available on the KVS website until Feb. 24: https://www.kamloops-voters-society.com/data/

In the survey, district taxpayers are asked about board transparency regarding its spending before the reporting of KTW. It also asks about the use of taxpayer funds by TNRD elected officials.

The survey also touches on another controversial topic of a whistleblower’s letter never being shared with the board by TNRD chair Ken Gillis and destroyed.
