Mayor John Harwood announced last Wednesday that District of Clearwater chief administrative officer Isabell Hadford had decided to take early retirement and was leaving her position. She had been CAO for three years.

“We thank Isabell for her expertise in setting up the new municipality,” said Harwood. “Council and I wish Isabell the very best on her retirement in health and happiness.”

Hadford came to Clearwater after being CAO for the municipality of Bowen Island.

Council has appointed Leslie Groulx as interim chief administrative officer for the District of Clearwater.

In 2006, when Groulx was services coordinator for the Wells Gray Country services committee, she was voted Employee of the Year by Clearwater Chamber of Commerce.
