The emergency room at the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital will be closed overnight tonight (July 21), according to a statement from Interior Health.

The ER will be closed from 6 p.m. Thursday, July 21 to 7 a.m. Friday, July 22.

The health authority says the closure is “due to unforeseen limited staffing availability.”
