Barriere RCMP were called at 7:51 a.m. Saturday, April 2 for the recovery of a dead body in the river by the Barriere River Bridge on Highway 5.
At this time the BC Coroner Service says the death does not appear to be suspicious.
“The BC Coroner Service is conducting this investigation and we are assisting them,” RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson told the Star Journal. “Next of kin for the deceased person have been notified, and any further information will have to come from the BC Coroner Service.”
