Hello, My name is Arnold Brock and I have lived in Clearwater  for about 15 years, although not all at one time. I currently hold a position at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital as a nursing assistant. I also work as a community support worker for the Challengers at Yellowhead Community Services. I have been married to my wife Sandy for 34 years and we have three children and five grandchildren.

I would be an asset to the council because I have served as a council member in Lumby for a three-year term. There I learned to be a team player as well as what it takes to make big or small decisions for the community. While in Lumby I served on various boards. In Barriere I had the experience of serving on the board for the incorporation. I was also a member of the Barriere Chamber of Commerce. I presently hold a position as a volunteer fireman for the Blackpool Fire Department.

I feel the present council has done an excellent job. Their time has been well spent. It could not have been an easy task starting everything from scratch. It is a great feeling to know that our present council members have left us with a reserve fund, in case of emergency.

I’m willing to commit the time it takes to be a council member. I’m excited to bring my experience and knowledge to the table, to help in decision making to better our community. I would be honored to be a part of the development for the future of Clearwater.

I feel everyone from the teenagers to the seniors of Clearwater have a voice and need to be heard. There are still a lot of issues Clearwater faces and I would like to be a part of that process. My commitment to you, Clearwater, is this  to be your ears and your voice, so that you can be heard.
