Clearwater and District Chamber of Commerce has planned a general meeting to be held on Monday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Community Resource Centre. The guest speaker will be Bas Delaney.

Delaney is a local forestry consultant RPF (registered professional forester) with the Clearwater Woodlot Association.

He was involved with the local community forest application. Currently he is the chair of the Wells Gray Community Forest Advisory Committee.

Delaney is also active in the provincial initiative known as Healthy Forest, Healthy Communities.

The Chamber has a representative working with the District of Clearwater on issues relating to forestry within the valley.

The Healthy Forests, Health Communities initiative is part of these discussions and the Chamber would like to give its membership the opportunity to have interactive discussions with the representative.

There will be networking and coffee after the meeting. Everyone will be welcome.
