Longtime Clearwater residents Bob and Miki (Doreen) Sissons have been overwhelmed by the support they have received from the community after losing their home to a fire at just before midnight, Saturday evening, June 13.
Previously residents of Abbotsford, they had lived in the house, which was located at the bottom of Steeg’s Hill on Station Road, for nearly 25 years.
They would particularly like to say thanks to their neighbour, Darlene Treseng, who woke them up shortly before the flames engulfed the house.
A number of questions, such as whether they will rebuild, are still up in the air, they say.
