There were some exciting Clearwater Minor Hockey games over the weekend at the North Thompson Sportsplex on January 24 and 25 during Hockey Days.
Lillooet came to Clearwater with all their teams from U7-U15 for a weekend of competitive action on the ice showing with great plays and sportsmanship shown by all players.
The U7 and U9 teams played hard and had fun on the ice while showcasing their progress made throughout the year. With a mom in the stands to be heard saying, "Cutest hockey to watch ever!" These little ones definitely keep it entertaining.
CMH U11s had two league games versus Lillooet dominating both games with scores of 19-5 and 15-0.
The U13 Icehawks also had two league games versus Lillooet winning both hard fought games, 9-2 and 6-4.
Unfortunately the U15 Icehawks came up short in their league game versus Lillooet, losing 2-0. They played an exhibition game early Sunday morning and ended the game tied at two goals.
The CMH U18 team hosted Chase Saturday night ending in a tie at two a piece. They played Winfield Sunday afternoon, unfortunately losing 4-2.
Overall the weekend was packed with thrilling moves, great skates and many new connections made for future tournaments and games ahead.
